Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems has been awarded a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide operational support services for the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO).
JIEDDO is a joint entity established by the US Department of Defense to reduce / eliminate the effects of all forms of improvised explosive devices used against US and coalition forces.
Work under the $49.1m contract will be carried out at the company’s facility in Virginia, US, and in Afghanistan and Iraq, with an estimated completion date of 10 May 2013.
The US Army Contracting Command will be the contracting activity.
