ATK has been awarded an $80m contract by General Dynamics (GD) Armament and Technical Products for the production of MK90 propellant grains.
The MK90 propellant grain is used to provide propulsion for the MK66 rocket motor, a key element of the Hydra 70 rocket system.

The grain incorporates a minimum-smoke, double-base, low-signature formulation, and is used in all Hydra rocket systems.
The Hydra 70 rocket system is used on the AH-64 Apache, the UH-60 Black Hawk, and the A-10, whilst also being extensively used in Iraq and Afghanistan.
