The Iranian Army is planning to showcase its new weaponry and military equipment during its annual Army Day parade on 18 April 2011, senior army commander major general Ataollah Salehi said.
The army has fully acquired technical knowledge for producing all of its defence tools and weaponries, thus increasing its capabilities.
"We have been able to defuse and deter enemy threats," he added.
The Iranian Army has recently test-fired different types of newly-developed missiles and torpedoes, as well as a large number of locally made weapons, tools and equipments.
Defence analysts and military observers note that Iran's war games and advancements in weapons production has proved as a deterrent factor to threats.
