Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation has received multiple orders under its blue force tracking (BFT-1) contract with the US Army.

The $51.7m order provides satellite bandwidth, satellite network operations, engineering services, programme management, support and mobile satellite transceivers for the force XXI battle command brigade and below — blue force tracking (FBCB2-BFT) programme.

The supply of satellite bandwidth, and other related professional support services will be extended until March 2012.

Comtech Telecommunications Corp president and CEO Fred Kornberg said the latest BFT orders demonstrated the ongoing importance of the US Army’s BFT-1 satellite tracking and communication system.
