The Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) has selected Oshkosh Defense and General Dynamics (GD) to compete for the Canadian medium support vehicle system (MSVS) programme.

Oshkosh has teamed with GD-Canada for the standard military pattern (SMP) portion of the MSVS programme, which will replace the Canadian medium logistics vehicles, wheeled (MLVW) fleet.

Oshkosh will serve as the prime contractor, with GD providing systems integration and testing support for the vehicles, and in-country sustainment support.

The companies also are working on the tactical armoured patrol vehicle (TAPV) programme, which will replace the armoured patrol vehicle (APV) and the Coyote reconnaissance vehicle.
