BAE Systems has been awarded a contract to finalise the procurement of situational awareness items for the reset of 101 Bradley Operation Desert Storm Situational Awareness (ODS SA) vehicles.

The $41m contract is a modification to a previously awarded contract to BAE in 2009, which brings the total value of the Bradley ODS SA contract to $115m.

Under the contract, BAE will continue to purchase 101 kits of long-lead items and additional parts to restore and upgrade the vehicles to pre-combat condition and improve their situational awareness capability.

The Bradley is used by the US Army heavy brigade combat team in a variety of roles, including as both an infantry and cavalry fighting vehicle.
