Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has been awarded a contract by the US Army to provide physical security and force protection systems to the US Department of Defense (DoD) and other government agencies.
The multiple indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract has a base performance period of three years, with one two-year option and a ceiling value of $650m for all awardees.
Under the contract, SAIC will develop, procure, install and maintain electronic security systems and automated control systems to meet physical security and force protection requirements.
SAIC is among five awardees that will compete for task orders under the contract.
