GD to Supply Nato Ammunition to Spanish Army

The Spanish Ministry of Defence has awarded a four-year contract to General Dynamics for the supply of 5.56×45mm Nato ammunition for the Spanish Army, Air Force and Navy. The contract has a maximum potential value of approximately €20m ($27.9m) if all options are exercised.

The 5.56×45mm ammunition, officially known as 5.56 Nato, is the standard ammunition for the armed forces of all Nato members and other countries around the world.

Work will be carried out at the company's facility in Palencia, Spain.

The contract was awarded to GD through its Spanish subsidiary Santa Bàrbara Sistemas SA.
