Milrem LCM has secured a contract extension with Estonia’s Centre for Defence Investment for armoured vehicle repair and maintenance.
Awarded in October 2013, the contract covers the provision of lifecycle management services for the Estonian Defence Forces’ Patria XA-180 and XA-188 vehicles.
Estonian Defence Forces Support Command Technology Section head Marek Sügis said: “Since 2014, the Defence Forces have worked closely with Milrem for better management of the lifecycle of our defence vehicles.
“The knowledge that there are efficient Estonian defence companies with growth potential provides confidence that we can face the challenges in all circumstances.”
Under the existing contract, Milrem was initially contracted for four years, with an option for renewal for an additional four years.
Following the contract extension, Milrem will offer services until the beginning of 2022.
