Cubic Defence Australia will showcase defence simulation and training solutions at the upcoming Australasian Simulation Congress 2019 (ASimC) in Sydney.
This year’s ASimC will be held at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre between 2 and 5 September.

At the event, Cubic will demonstrate a synthetic wrap solution, which uses virtual training systems to improve the live training environment.
The capability incorporates virtual joint fires, as well as intelligence, surveillance and target acquisition, and reconnaissance (ISTAR) effects in field training.
It enables tactical training at individual, team and collective levels and is claimed to improve the preparation of troops.

“Through solutions such as synthetic wrap, we augment the live training environment with virtual and constructive simulation, allowing soldiers to train with platforms and deliver effects that would otherwise be prohibited by cost, scarcity or safety.”
The company will also showcase other capabilities, including integrated training environment (ITE), exercise control (EXCON) and after action review (AAR), and Nexus Analytics.
The ITE platform is designed to provide instrumentation for the integrated soldier system and the land combat vehicle system.
It is meant for collective training, force-on-force, force-on-target and live-fire activities.
In addition, the system’s open architecture design allows for live, virtual and constructive (LVC) blending.
Users can also deploy the ITE for amphibious and aviation operating environments.
Cubic provides CATS Metrix for EXCON and AAR to support operators and instructors.
The software is used to plan, conduct, control, monitor, and assess live force-on-force training. It also provides an AAR to the exercise unit.
Nexus Analytics is designed to collect and synthesise data from existing systems. The system will allow users to evaluate soldier / unit readiness.
