The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 4.23% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 12.65% share in October 2021, recording an increase of 0.65% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 104.35% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry in October 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 43.48% in October 2021, registering a 16.67% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 39.13% share, a flat growth over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 13.04%, registering a 50% decline from September 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 8.7%, down 50% over the previous month.
Top five aerospace, defence & security companies in Singapore’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 20.69% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Singapore’s aerospace, defence & security industry during October 2021 over September 2021.
Thales posted 9 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a drop of 18.18% over the previous month, followed by James Fisher and Sons with 7 jobs and a flat growth. Raytheon Technologies with 3 IT jobs and Rohde & SchwarzKG with 2 jobs, recorded a 62.5% decline and a 100% flat growth, respectively, while The Boeing recorded a decline of 77.78% with 2 job postings during October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 82.61%, up by 5.56% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 13.04% share, registered a decline of 75% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 4.35% share, flat growth over September 2021.
