US-based company NIKE’s IT hiring rose 3.3% in October 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 0.85% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.

IT jobs claimed an 8.52% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2021, and recorded a 0.24% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops NIKE IT hiring in October 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by NIKE, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 74.39% in October 2021, and a 16.44% drop over September 2021, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 15.85% in October 2021, and registered growth of 116.67%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 4.88% in October 2021, a 100% rise from September 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at NIKE

North America emerged as the leading region in the global apparel IT hiring activity in October 2021 with a 67.07% share, which marked a 9.84% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 21.95%, registering a 25% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 10.98% share and a 350% rise over September 2021.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s apparel industry IT hiring activity with a 67.07% share in October 2021, a 6.78% decline over September 2021. India featured next with an 8.54% share, down 53.33% over the previous month. Poland recorded a 7.32% share, an increase of 500% compared with September 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead NIKE IT hiring activity in October 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.85%, up by 22.73% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 24.39% share, a decline of 33.33% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.76% share, down 33.33% over September 2021.
