
Mexico’s apparel industry registered a 15.1% rise in IT hiring activity in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 2.3% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
Out of the apparel industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 15.24% share in September 2021, recording an increase of 0.87% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Mexico’s apparel industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.81% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s apparel industry in September 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 66.67% in September 2021, registering a 19.15% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 13.1% share, an increase of 450% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 9.52%, registering a 100% rise from August 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 5.95%, down 16.67% over the previous month.
Top five apparel companies in Mexico’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 47.37% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico’s apparel industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
Robert Bosch posted 45 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a rise of 21.62% over the previous month, followed by Amazon with 22 jobs and an 83.33% growth. Walmart with 15 IT jobs and eBay with 1 jobs, recorded an 87.5% flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Danaher recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 63.1%, up by 65.63% from August 2021. Entry Level positions with a 20.24% share, registered a decline of 10.53% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 16.67% share, up 75% over August 2021.
