US-based company Leidos Holdings IT hiring rose 0.3% in October 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 1.23% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 37.24% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2021, and recorded a 1.33% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Leidos Holdings IT hiring in October 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Leidos Holdings, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 50% in October 2021, and an 110% rise over September 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 24.05% in October 2021, and registered growth of 80.36%. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 8.33% in October 2021, a 141.38% rise from September 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at Leidos Holdings

North America emerged as the leading region in the global aerospace, defence & security IT hiring activity in October 2021 with an 86.79% share, which marked an 84.56% rise over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 6.9%, registering a 56.76% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 6.31% share and a 430% rise over September 2021.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s aerospace, defence & security industry IT hiring activity with an 86.79% share in October 2021, an 85.03% growth over September 2021. Australia featured next with a 6.79% share, up 62.86% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 3.45% share, an increase of 480% compared with September 2021.

Mid Level jobs lead Leidos Holdings IT hiring activity in October 2021

Mid Level jobs held a share of 43.1%, up by 93.58% from September 2021. Junior Level positions with a 40.71% share, a growth of 74.49% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 15.36% share, up 115% over September 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.83%, recording a month-on-month increase of 600%.
