Germany’s apparel industry registered a 4.6% rise in IT hiring activity in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 0.28% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
Out of the apparel industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 13.1% share in September 2021, recording an increase of 0.46% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s apparel industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100.38% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s apparel industry in September 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 82.49% in September 2021, registering a 6.31% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 7.72% share, a decrease of 16.33% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 6.97%, registering a flat growth from August 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 2.45%, down 18.75% over the previous month.
Top five apparel companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 0.41% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s apparel industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
Robert Bosch posted 327 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a drop of 3.82% over the previous month, followed by Zalando with 84 jobs and a 20% growth. Amazon with 48 IT jobs and Schwarz Gruppe with 22 jobs, recorded a 37.14% flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while adidas recorded a decline of 46.15% with 14 job postings during September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.84%, up by 2.26% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with an 11.49% share, registered a decline of 10.29% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 11.11% share, up 1.72% over August 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.56%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
