Germany’s apparel industry registered a 7.5% drop in IT hiring activity in October 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.7% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.
Out of the apparel industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 12.67% share in October 2021, recording a decrease of 0.33% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s apparel industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 99.32% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s apparel industry in October 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 79.05% in October 2021, registering a 35.71% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 7.43% share, a decrease of 35.29% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 7.43%, registering a 54.17% decline from September 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 4.05%, up 50% over the previous month.
Top five apparel companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 36.77% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s apparel industry during October 2021 over September 2021.
Zalando posted 60 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a drop of 28.57% over the previous month, followed by Amazon with 32 jobs and a 65.96% drop. adidas with 25 IT jobs and Schwarz Gruppe with 22 jobs, recorded an 8.7% flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Alibaba Group Holding recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.14%, down by 36.88% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 22.97% share, registered a decline of 27.66% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 14.19% share, down 46.15% over September 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 2.7%, recording a month-on-month increase of 100%.
