The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 8.47% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s apparel industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
Amazon posted 157 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a drop of 17.37% over the previous month, followed by Canadian Tire with 26 jobs and a 7.14% drop. Loblaw Companies with 20 IT jobs and Lululemon Athletica with 8 jobs, recorded a 122.22% flat growth and a 100% flat growth, respectively, while Danaher recorded a flat growth with 5 job postings during September 2021.
Entry Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Entry Level jobs held a share of 49.37%, up by 31.46% from August 2021. Junior Level positions with a 37.97% share, registered a decline of 34.31% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 12.66% share, flat growth over August 2021.
