The industry’s overall hiring increased by 6.68% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.
Out of the aerospace, defence & security industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 17.94% share in October 2021, recording a decrease of 2.72% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s aerospace, defence & security industry during October 2021 over September 2021.
Thales posted 33 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a rise of 120% over the previous month, followed by Teledyne Technologies with 18 jobs and an 80% growth. CAE with 16 IT jobs and The Boeing with 10 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 28.57% decrease, respectively, while Raytheon Technologies recorded a decline of 75.86% with 7 job postings during October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 51.14%, down by 21.05% from September 2021. Entry Level positions with a 28.41% share, registered an increase of 108.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 20.45% share, down 18.18% over September 2021.
