November 2021 has seen an increase of 9.54% in the overall hiring activity when compared with October 2021.

IT jobs accounted for a 17.33% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in November 2021, registering an increase of 0.08% over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in November 2021

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 76.43% in November 2021, a 17.2% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 15.16% in November 2021, marking a 33.94% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 5.09% in November 2021, a 3.92% drop from October 2021.

Top five auto companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 45.93% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s auto industry during November 2021 over previous month.

Robert Bosch posted 241 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a decline of 3.98% over the previous month, followed by Visteon with 158 jobs and a 276.19% growth. Valeo with 74 IT jobs and AB Volvo with 62 jobs, recorded a 34.55% rise and a 226.32% rise, respectively, while Tesla recorded a 47.37% increase with 56 job postings during November 2021.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s auto industry

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s auto industry IT hiring activity with a 54% share in November 2021, a 22.35% increase over October 2021. China featured next with a 32.4% share, up 11.43% over the previous month. Australia recorded a 4.05% share, a growth of 34.48% compared with October 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 57.01%, up by 6.6% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 22.53% share, registered a decline of 15.23% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 20.46% share, up 185.51% over October 2021.
