Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 72.13% in November 2021, a 12.91% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 12.08% in November 2021, marking a 30% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Research Scientists with a share of 6.5% in November 2021, a 27.27% drop from October 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 5.42% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s aerospace, defence & security industry during November 2021 over previous month.
The Boeing posted 501 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a decline of 9.07% over the previous month, followed by Elettronica with 104 jobs and a 1055.56% growth. Raytheon Technologies with 83 IT jobs and Thales with 74 jobs, recorded a 15.28% rise and a 12.12% rise, respectively, while Leidos Holdings recorded a 39.66% decline with 35 job postings during November 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s aerospace, defence & security industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s aerospace, defence & security industry IT hiring activity with a 70.27% share in November 2021, a 19.8% increase over October 2021. Australia featured next with a 20.91% share, down 23.73% over the previous month. Singapore recorded a 4.07% share, a growth of 118.75% compared with October 2021.
Mid Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Mid Level jobs held a share of 50.06%, up by 20.39% from October 2021. Junior Level positions with a 41.11% share, registered a decline of 1.94% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.59% share, down 14.94% over October 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.23%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
