A recently granted patent (Publication Number: US11859951B2) discloses an electronic irritation device comprising multiple irritation signal modules, each equipped with optical or acoustic emitters. The device includes a connection device to link the modules and an unlocking mechanism to automatically detach them. Additionally, an activation mechanism triggers the release of the modules, with a control device managing the unlocking process upon activation.

Furthermore, the device features an expansion mechanism to separate the modules post-unlocking. The connection device consists of elements connecting the modules, while the unlocking device comprises mechanisms to release them. In some embodiments, the housing of the connection device is designed to break upon impact, freeing the modules. Each module includes a control device for emitter management and communication capabilities for coordination with other modules or a central controller. Additionally, certain modules may include distance sensors for object detection and integrated energy storage or self-destruction mechanisms for added functionality and safety measures.
