The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 8.09% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 37.42% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 0.21% decline over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Leidos Holdings IT hiring in August 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Leidos Holdings, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 45.87% in August 2021, and a 2.94% rise over July 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 24.64% in August 2021, and registered a decline of 35.17%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 9.96% in August 2021, an 18.75% rise from July 2021.
North America drives IT hiring at Leidos Holdings
North America emerged as the leading region in the global aerospace, defence & security IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 92.27% share, which marked a 10.2% drop over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 4.98%, registering a 9.52% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 2.75% share and a 58.82% drop over July 2021.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s aerospace, defence & security industry IT hiring activity with a 92.27% share in August 2021, a 9.74% decline over July 2021. Australia featured next with a 4.72% share, down 12.2% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 1.05% share, a decline of 80% compared with July 2021.
Mid Level jobs lead Leidos Holdings IT hiring activity in August 2021
Mid Level jobs held a share of 48.36%, down by 24.07% from July 2021. Junior Level positions with a 36.04% share, a decline of 8.64% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 15.07% share, up 27.78% over July 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.52%, recording a month-on-month increase of 33.33%.
