With the vision of becoming Türkiye’s underwater centre of excellence, Meteksan Defence, which has been operating in the field of underwater acoustics for a long time and has contributed successful products both in Türkiye and in the international market, is showcasing its new generation underwater detection system, SUVDES, for the first time at the IDEF 2025. SUVDES offers advanced underwater threat detection capabilities for strategic locations such as military and civilian critical infrastructure, harbour entrances, and straits.
Designed to protect harbours, naval bases, and critical facilities, SUVDES reliably detects submarines, unmanned underwater vehicles (ROV/AUV/UUV), diver delivery vehicles, and similar threats. The system provides real-time alerts and enhanced situational awareness through multi-sensor integration and a user-friendly interface.
Thanks to its artificial intelligence-supported detection and classification algorithms, SUVDES can be integrated with existing security systems such as WAIS/AIS, radar, cameras, and night vision systems. Its modular and scalable design allows for easy integration and customisation to meet specific operational requirements.
