Retinar GSR Ground Surveillance Radar, the latest member of the Retinar Perimeter Surveillance Radar Family, developed by Meteksan Defence Industry Inc. and achieving significant successes both domestically and internationally, will be exhibited for the first time at the IDEF 2025 Fair, taking place from July 22 to 27, 2025.
The key features of Retinar GSR include:
- Human detection up to 12 km
- High success classification of targets with low-speed sensitivity
- Display of speed, direction, and position information
- Micro-Doppler spectrogram analysis,
- Easily integrable with camera and other sensor systems.
These will significantly enhance the capabilities of security forces.
Retinar GSR, with its ability to detect both slow-moving (crawling or creeping humans) and fast-moving (vehicles) targets simultaneously, will be a new game-changer in protecting borders and critical facilities.
Meteksan Defense President Adil Baktır emphasised that Retinar GSR is specially designed to meet the needs of land forces, stating: “Thanks to our Retinar PTR product, which has been successfully operating in the field for a long time both in Türkiye and abroad, we have gained extensive experience. Building on this experience, we developed the Retinar GSR Ground Surveillance Radar to meet detection requirements at longer ranges. Retinar GSR will particularly strengthen security efforts in border and critical infrastructure protection by detecting slow-moving targets from long distances. It will operate 24/7 in adverse weather conditions such as fog, creating a safe zone in the area. We are excited for the first introduction of Retinar GSR at IDEF 2025 and look forward to it quickly becoming operational in the field, adding new successes to the Retinar family.
