GMT Rubber-Metal-Technic is specialist designer and manufacturer of anti-vibration mounts, rubber-to-metal bonded components and moulded rubber products for military clients worldwide.
Our anti-vibration mounting products greatly reduce noise and absorb shock across a diverse range of rugged applications. Certain applications can also take advantage of the high traction / friction levels between loaded surfaces provided by rubber (e.g. tracked vehicles).
Our experience and knowledge in anti-vibration mount technology has been acquired over more than 30 years, with GMT having become established around the world during this time.
GMT Rubber-Metal-Technic provides an extensive range of natural and synthetic rubber compounds, which have been developed to withstand the extreme environments military applications operate in. Products provide improved levels of resistance to oils, surface abrasion wear, sunlight exposure and large temperature fluctuations.
Our high-tech development, production and testing process ensure that we can maintain our high levels of quality, while satisfying customers increasing demands for our products. GMT is accredited to BS EN ISO 9001:2000.
Mould tooling is produced in-house and we are able to design special parts utilising computer modelling to meet customers’ individual application requirements whether for new applications or for improving/retrofit into existing designs.
GMT manufactures a variety of standard and specialist products to meet the military demands of our partners at Nato and other allies.
These include vibration isolation solutions for:
GMT manufactures tank track pads for some of the world’s most recognised battle tanks such as the Leopard 2, with our high-performance rubber pads offering increased durability, low-wear and boosted resistance to chunking.
Cone mountings are suitable for many mobile applications as they are captive, offer large static deflections and progressive stiffening characteristics.
Triflex mounts and machine feet are available, both with and without rebound control. They can be supplied with built-in height adjustment as required.
Ideal for use in suspension units or any application requiring torsional flexibility and articulation: GMT bushes and spherical bearings can be manufactured in various sizes with parallel or tapered bores, or with extended lugs to offer alternative methods of fitment.
GMT offers a large standard range of buffers of various types. These range from straight forward bobbins with different combinations of tapped holes, threaded studs, cylindrical or hexagonal plates, interleaves and profiled rubber; through to rectangular body pad buffers and bump stops.
GMT produces a comprehensive range of specialist mounting systems, including device and air mounts, T-mounts, H-mounts, and U-mounts, as well as bolsters springs, side-bearers, chevron springs, and both primary and secondary suspension components.
