About Us
ARTEC GmbH is a joint venture of Krauss-Maffei Wegmann GmbH & Co KG, Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH, and Rheinmetall Defence Nederland BV.
ARTEC manages the Boxer Development Programme for the German and Dutch armies, functioning as the prime contractor. The company’s major tasks for the Boxer Programme include – program management, systems engineering, configuration management, integrated logistics support (ILS) management, and contract administration. The Boxer armoured transport vehicle is a mobile, wheeled vehicle whose modular design permits mission-specific configurations.
ARTEC offers specific mission module variants such as armoured engineering vehicle, armoured personal carrier, cargo vehicle, command post, driver training vehicle, infantry fighting vehicle, and artillery competence. The company is currently developing a number of mission variants including a troop carrier for transporting an infantry section, a field ambulance, a combat engineering section vehicle, C4I and C2 command vehicles, a logistics vehicle, and a battlefield maintenance vehicle.
