Maru Defence develops mobile systems for defence, rescue, and medical use. The company focuses on units that move easily, set up fast, and support field operations in remote or demanding locations in extreme environments. Its product range covers container-based shelters, medical units, storage units, and other field structures that support military and civil organisations.
Defence units
Maru Defence designs deployable container units for command, maintenance, supply, and tactical tasks. These units follow ISO standards and move by road or air. They set up in minutes and support operations that need mobility and a short preparation time.
The company builds both expandable and fixed-size shelters that serve as command posts, workspaces, supply or storage rooms.
A key part of the defence range is the line of ammunition and hazardous storage units. These include ammunition storage containers, gas storage containers, and HAZMAT containers. Each unit is built for the safe storage of dangerous materials.
The structures use insulated walls, grounded components, and interior panels that resist wear and allow easy cleaning. Climate control systems keep temperature and humidity stable in extreme climates. Many units include a front technical room and several access points to support safe handling and inspection. These storage units support armed forces that need secure and mobile storage during training or deployment.
Rescue and safety units
Maru Defence supplies mobile units for rescue teams and civil protection agencies. These units support disaster response, fire and rescue work, and temporary field coordination. They move quickly and set up with a small team. The structures provide shelter, workspace, or command functions in areas where fixed buildings are not available.
Medical units
Maru Defence builds medical units for emergency care, military medical support, and humanitarian missions. The portfolio ranges from compact medical containers to full mobile ROLE 2 field hospitals. These hospitals use modular container units that are easily transportable.
They can include triage rooms, surgical rooms, intensive care rooms, diagnostic rooms, and patient wards. The hospitals set up fast and support medical teams in remote areas or crisis zones. They have been used in emergency response and military medical operations where reliable field care is required.
Custom project range for defence, rescue and industrial applications
The company also develops custom units for specific tasks. These include security control rooms, K9 kennel units, naval training units, and other specialised structures. The engineering team adapts layouts, equipment, and technical features to match the needs of defence, rescue, or industrial clients.
The company also produces mobile laboratories, wastewater treatment units, inspection containers, PVC hangars, and other field structures. These units support both military and civilian tasks, expanding the company’s role as a producer of mobile field units for varied operational needs.

MDSC production facility
MDSC opened a new modern production facility in Tallinn in 2025, fully equipped to produce cutting-edge units for both military and civilian applications. The new sustainably operating facility provides added capacity, new technologies and advanced product development, as well as a welcoming showroom.
