RELYANT’s MMR and environmental services
RELYANT is a member of the National Association of Ordnance and Explosive Waste (OEW) Contractors (NAOC) in the US and maintains the UNOPS Peace and Security Global Pre-Qualification Certification for Mine Action. We are fully licensed to perform Munitions Response and Mine Action operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Kuwait.
Our MMR Program is staffed by US, International and host nation Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technical experts and former military combat engineers; all qualified to US Army Corps of Engineers standards, US Department of Defense Explosive Safety Board Technical Paper 18, and/or the International Mine Action Standards (IMAS). We provide highly trained and experienced subject matter experts, to perform duties as a ‘turn-key’ approach to resolving our client’s challenges.
In addition to our esteemed Munitions Response Program, RELYANT provides retrieval, containment, packaging, and disposal of hazardous waste and certain non-hazardous wastes, including on-site assistance in emergency first response clean-up efforts and the international transportation/disposal of waste products. RELYANT provides cradle to grave activities from sampling and inspection to ultimate disposal and processing. RELYANT’s hazardous materials identification/quantification process provides results in terms of data precision, accuracy, completeness, comparability and representativeness.
Our MMR and environmental services include: battle area clearance of UXO, ERW, cluster munitions and MEC; mine detection dog teams; disposition of small arms and light weapons; training and operations; risk assessment and contingency planning; HTRW and environmental restoration; manual and mechanical landmine clearance; counter improvised explosive devices (C-IED); stockpile munition management and security; retrieval, reporting and destruction of MANPADS; post-clearance verification and QA surveillance; and waste management.
UXO technician 1 training programme
The University of Tennessee and RELYANT have partnered together to develop the most comprehensive Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) training programme available. Students graduate with a UXO Technician I certification, a Hazardous Waste Operations (HAZWOPER) certification, heavy machinery certification, and the esteemed International Mine Action Standards (IMAS) certification required to perform MMR work in CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Our training programme, approved for the use of veterans’ education benefits, also includes: the opportunity to learn from top-tier UT professors in the areas of mathematics, engineering, and science; participation in hands-on field and safety training led by experienced UXO Certified Instructors from RELYANT; teachers that have ‘real world’ experience in the Mine Action industry and are dedicated to helping students learn the techniques and strategies to succeed in UXO operations in accordance with International Mine Action Standards (IMAS); and 100% graduation rate with a 90% job placement average.

RELYANT Global (RELYANT) was recently awarded a $60m five-year contract from the US Army Corps of Engineers to provide Environmental Remediation Services. RELYANT was one of ten contractors named to the award and was the only independent awardee.
RELYANT Global (RELYANT), along with Teaming Partner, FE&C, was recently awarded a $5,048,597m contract for the Repair and Renovation of the Atlantis Dormitory on Whiteman Air Force Base (AFB) in Missouri.
