IDEX

EXPAL has announced it will be presenting its latest products and solutions at the International Defence Exhibiton & Conference (IDEX) 2015.

The event is held to showcase the latest technology in the land, sea, and air sectors of the defence industry. It is taking place between 22-26 February at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

New products that the firm will be exhibiting will be based around ammunitions, propellants and weapons systems.

They include the firm’s whole high-performance artillery ammunition line, with a firing range of up to 40km for the 155mm howitzer, or up to 20km for the 105mmits integrated mortar System for 81/60 mm on a 4×4 light vehicle, and enhancing interactivity in mobile operating systems (EIMOS), a proven system.

EXPAL is committed to the development of systems integrated into their platforms, which has resulted in proprietary products that offer concrete solutions within the current operational needs of troops as the EIMOS.

EIMOS provide the necessary firepower and mobility to support the units in missions where time and mobility are critical, at a reasonable cost and easy maintenance. The EIMOS system can also be adapted to the customer needs and final requirements, while facilitating integration with legacy systems such as vehicles, communications means or other command and control (C2) systems.

EIMOS can be used in association with TECHFIRE, the EXPAL Fire Support Information System. The precision on shooting data and ballistic corrections are calculated in an automatic way, allowing a shooting optimisation that decreases munitions consumption and collateral damages.

EXPAL’s showcase on powders and propellants will be another highlight to the show. The combination of know-how, experience and capacities in this field allow EXPAL to carry out specific developments and offer innovative solutions in the area, such as the re-graining of rocket motors for missiles, and short and medium-range pitchers, which enables the update of armies’ missile capacities, by optimising their resources.

These products, along with its offer in maintenance and integrated logistic support services, and its global demilitarization and land-cleaning capacities (EOD), complete EXPAL’s proposals for this edition of IDEX 2015.
