Technology company Envistacom has been awarded a subcontract to support Macro Solutions (Msol Inc) on the US Army’s potential Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-3 Services (ITES-3S) award valued at $12.1bn.

The subcontract follows after Macro Solutions won a position on the indefinite-delivery / indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract in October.

Under the subcontract, Envistacom will provide support as Macro Solutions prepares to compete for and execute task orders in support of the US Army and other DoD agencies.

“We are looking forward to working alongside Msol in our shared mission to support the US Army and their efforts to secure and modernise their networks.”

The scope of the subcontract will involve offering subject matter in cyber, cybersecurity, SATCOM, enterprise network and datacentre, as well as E&I and O&M services expertise to Msol’s ITES-3S team.

ITES-3S is a follow-on award to the service’s ITES-2S contract that was awarded to 16 prime contractors in 2006.

The contract will serve as the primary source of information technology (IT) related services for the US Army across the globe.

ITES-3S contract covers cybersecurity, information assurance, business process re-engineering, enterprise design, integration and consolidation, network/systems operation and maintenance, telecommunications/systems operation and maintenance, supply chain management, and IT education and training.

In August, Envistacom was awarded a task order under the Army Contracting Command (ACC) Deployable Adaptive Global Responder Support (DAGRS) programme.
