The US Department of Defence (DOD) has awarded a task order to technology company Envistacom under the Army Contracting Command (ACC) Deployable Adaptive Global Responder Support (DAGRS) programme.
The contract awarded to Envistacom is valued at $18m and will run for three years.

It is part of a larger DAGRS indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle, worth up to $480m over five years.
Ten vendors, including Envistacom, have been selected to compete for task orders under this programme.
Through the contract, Envistacom will support both US Army and US Navy customers.
The company has been selected as the prime contractor and will undertake rapid-prototyping initiatives in order to satisfy requirements for engineering and technical assessment enhancements.

By GlobalDataEnvistacom senior vice-president Alan Carson said: “We are honoured to be selected as the prime contractor to help execute Envistacom’s first task order under the US Army’s DAGRS IDIQ contract vehicle.
“I’m confident that together with the US Army and US Navy, our team will deliver an effective blend of strategy and technology to our warfighters and mission partners, and ultimately, help make the world a safer place.”
The company will provide the task order services from its research and development centre in Duluth, Georgia.
Services offered at the 25,000ft² centre include research and development capabilities, innovative engineering, and testing facilities for solutions in counterterrorism, cyber security and satellite communications.
