Arotech’s Training and Simulation Division (ATSD) subsidiary FAAC has secured a new award to continue providing support and improvements for the Taiwan training range.

With a performance period of three years, the $1.9m contract will include the delivery of FAAC’s SimBuilder software enhancements, new weapon models, on-site training, and on-site services and software sustainment.

SimBuilder weapon simulation software provides the infrastructure for the Taiwan training range capability.

It represents FAAC’s exportable weapon system and Integrated Air Defense system modelling solution delivered to Taiwan with FAAC Air Combat Environment for Testing and Training (FACETT) providing the ability to test and replay scenarios.

Under the terms of the contract, FAAC will be committed to advance the constructive entity modelling capabilities of FACETT, in addition to providing more flexibility in instructor debrief and replay mode.

The current effort is the latest follow-on to the company’s original SimBuilder sale to Taiwan in early 2000.

ATSD develops and markets advanced high-tech multimedia and interactive digital solutions for engineering, use-of-force, and operator training simulations for military, law enforcement, security, municipal and private industry personnel.
