The US Army has awarded a new contract to Stryke Industries and its subcontractor Scorpion Computer Services to deliver Scenario Generator (ScenGen) artificial intelligence to the army’s unmanned aircraft system (UAS) fleet.

The current contract is part of the US Defense Research and Development Rapid Innovation Fund (RIF) Programme.

Under the deal, Stryke Industries will licence Scorpion technology to the US Army Contracting Command in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. This will be applied to the universal ground control station (UGCS) and other drone platforms.

The UGCS technology is able to operate similar unmanned US Army assets from a single common ground control station.

The control station features flight critical hardware and software in a modular configuration. It is used to command and control the US Army’s MQ-1C Gray Eagle, RQ-7B Shadow and MQ-5B Hunter UAS.
