BAE Systems has won a US$15m contract to provide thermal imaging sights for the US Army’s Common Remotely Operated Weapons Station II (CROWS) programme.
BAE will manufacture up to 6,500 TIM1500 thermal sights for Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace, the supplier of the CROWS II system.

The TIM1500, which can be installed on any US Army ground vehicle, improves situational awareness and gives the ability to carry out target acquisition and surveillance at extended ranges.
