The UK defence partnership NITEworks has won a £43m contract from the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) to develop troop tactics and test equipment over the next five years.
It will use simulated environments to test equipment and analyse troop responses to threats such as improvised explosive devices.

The MoD has already credited NITEworks with improving the military’s methods for collecting and processing intelligence since it was set up in 2003.
NITEworks is a partnership between the MoD and the UK defence industry, including BAE, EADS, General Dynamics and Thales.
