Curtiss-Wright Controls has announced it has received a phase contract award from South African defence manufacturer Denel Land Systems to supply actuation systems that will be incorporated into new-generation infantry combat vehicles for the South African Army.

The $39m contract will see weapon acctuation systems and drive systems for turret, mortar and missile launchers for 264 ICVs developed and manufactured by the Drive Technology unit of Curtiss-Wright Controls.

The acctuation and drive systems will be developed at Curtiss-Wright’s Neuhausen facility in Switzerland.
