The US and Indian Governments are expected to sign an agreement which will allow the sale of sophisticated arms from US companies to the Indian defence forces.
The end-use monitoring agreement is required by US law for weapons sales to control supply and use of advanced weaponry.

The deal is part of Hillary Clinton’s first trip to India as the US Secretary of State. The agreement is expected to help US companies such as Lockheed Martin and Boeing, which are competing for deals such as the 126 multi-role fighters that India plans to procure.
