The TAPV programme is designed to replace the armoured patrol vehicle (APV) and the Coyote reconnaissance vehicle, while the MSVS programme will replace the medium logistics truck fleet.

As the prime contractor, Oshkosh Defense will provide for the current vehicle fleets in its responses for the TAPV and MSVS programmes.

General Dynamics Land Systems Canada will provide systems integration and testing support for the vehicle as well as extensive logistics, training, technical manuals, and spare parts management to Canadian requirements.

The two vehicle programmes enable the Canadian Forces to operate protected and high-performance vehicle fleets.
