Canada has increased its efforts to support Ukraine in the fight against the Russian invasion by providing additional military assistance worth C$34m ($25.46m).

The announcement was made by Canadian Defence Minister Anita Anand during the Ukraine Defence Contact Group virtual meeting on 16 November.
Of the total funds allotted, nearly C$18m ($13.49m) will be used for delivering high-resolution drone cameras while C$5m ($3.7m) has been allocated for providing satellite imagery to the Ukrainian forces.
The remaining C$10m ($7.49m) will be used to deliver winter supplies, including thermal blankets, portable heaters, and sleeping bags, to the Ukrainian soldiers.
Anand also confirmed that that the military training for Ukrainian soldiers, under the UK-led initiative, will be offered until the end of 2023.

The Swedish Government has also confirmed that it will provide a new $285.60m (Skr3bn) military and humanitarian support package to Ukraine.
The government claimed that this is the largest contribution made by Sweden so far.
It will include winter equipment, body armour, passenger terrain vehicles, and an air defence weapons system and its ammunition, along with separate ammunition for additional defence systems.
Approximately $68.54m (Skr720m) will also be used for winter supplies and humanitarian and emergency support for Ukraine and Moldova.
Rheinmetall has also been selected to supply 15 Leopard 2A4 main battle tanks, military hardware, and associated spare/training support to the Slovak Republic under the German Government’s equipment exchange programme.
In exchange, the Slovak military has agreed to provide military equipment to Ukraine. It was finalised in Brussels on 15 November.
The first battle tanks will be shipped to Slovakia by December, with deliveries expected to be complete by the end of next year.
