Northrop Grumman has successfully delivered and demonstrated the pre-prototype of its new Tactical Intelligence Targeting Access Node (TITAN) ground system developed for the US Army.
The demonstration was conducted during the US Army Future Command’s Project Convergence 2022 (PC22).

Northrop Grumman is developing two TITAN system prototypes for the US Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) and the Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities (TENCAP) office.
The recently demonstrated mobile, semi-autonomous, pre-prototype is the preliminary model of the first two space prototypes.
The company said that this pre-prototype system is capable of minimising sensor-to-shooter timelines, facilitates deep-sensing, and increases efficiency of long-range precision fires by utilising both commercial and military space assets.

The capability will further support the US Department of Defense’s (DoD) strategy to establish a JADC2 network for performing various multi-domain missions.
Northrop Grumman integrated national systems vice-president Pablo Pezzimenti said: “Our unique ability to provide access to multi-domain, actionable intelligence from commercial and military space systems directly contributes to success on battlefield by helping the war fighter make quicker decisions when every second counts.”
Development of prototype capabilities is part of a larger effort, the TITAN programme, that aims to develop an expeditionary intelligence ground station to provide targetable data to Army personnel for rapidly identifying/evaluating threats.
The system will deliver real-time intelligence using artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to provide combined data to the joint forces from multi-domain sensors/weapon platforms such as artillery, jammers, and airborne systems.
