The Australian Defence Forces could receive two RQ-7B Shadow 200 unmanned aircraft systems along with associated equipment and logistical support under a $218m US foreign military sale programme.
The proposed sale includes two Shadow aircraft systems, four ground control stations, support equipment, spare and repair parts, as well as technical and logistics support services.

Australia will use the RQ-7B Shadow 200 systems in support of its ongoing ground operations in Afghanistan and in future contingency operations including humanitarian assistance, disaster relief and stability operations in the Asia-Pacific region.
The prime contractor for the supply of shadow aircraft will be AAI Corporation in Hunt Valley, Maryland.
