Nordic countries Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden have signed an agreement to enhance cooperation in the field of ammunition.
Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) director general Göran Mårtensson and his Nordic counterparts signed the pact in Oslo.

As part of the agreement, the four countries will form a joint expert group.
Apart from officials from Denmark, Finland, and Norway, the group will also include representatives from the Swedish Armed Forces and the FMV.
FMV official Per Cederberg will be part of the expert group.
The new group will focus on coordinating various requirements and business models to facilitate partnership agreements for production and the procurement of ammunition.

The pact is part of a Nordic agreement signed in 2015 to strengthen cooperation in the field of defence equipment.
The countries had also agreed to cooperate on export control and procurement.
FMV logistics adviser Per Andersson said: “The long negotiations that led to Nordic cooperation are now beginning to produce clear and concrete results.
“We now have a common view on security of supply, where all countries have received more tools to strengthen it.”
In June this year, FMV signed an agreement with TYR Tactical for the delivery of new body armour for women.
Specially designed for women in terms of fit and size, the new armour will be on a par with the existing Body Protection 12 in providing protection to personnel.
