Frazer-Nash Consultancy, a KBR company, is set to work on a cyber defence project for the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD).

According to a statement, Frazer-Nash will be working on the Autonomous Resilient Cyber Defence (ARCD) project with MoD’s Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl).

The three-year project seeks to deliver self-defending and self-recovering cyber security systems for use on military operational platforms.

It will involve the development of key cyber defence concepts using new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning.

The performance of the concepts will be assessed in a simulated military environment.

As part of the project, Frazer-Nash will provide high-risk disruptive options, AI-driven cyber defence decision-making capabilities, and informed cyber sensing.

These attributes are expected to be added into the concept demonstrator.

Dstl cyber security programme manager Zoe Fowle said: “Dstl are excited to be working with KBR and Frazer-Nash on this vanguard project, delivering cutting-edge response and recovery concept demonstrators over the next three years, with the potential to transform cyber resilience for MoD.”
