The system provides beyond conventional weapons training by providing a target system that utilises live ammunition in a controlled environment.

The targets simulate vehicles, infantry, hostile fire, a range of artillery, and other weapons and threats.

The C$22.3m (US$22.8m) contract has an extended period of performance with options that could extend to 2018.

Lockheed has been the prime contractor for the programme since 1997.
