Honeywell has been awarded a contract by the US Army Program Executive Office (PEO) to provide advanced ballistic materials for combat helmets.

Under the three-year contract, the company will build and deliver helmets with next-generation Spectra Shield and Gold Shield ballistic materials.

The US Army will then test and evaluate the materials’ ability to improve performance and reduce the weight of the soldier combat helmets.
