Leonardo DRS is donating $80,000 to support the relief delivered to the citizens during the Covid-19 pandemic. Out of the total funding, the company offered $50,000 and its employees raised the remaining $30,000 amount. Leonardo DRS has selected the American Red Cross to receive the funds.

The US Air Force (USAF) has awarded a monitoring contract to BlackSky to track the efficacy of global Covid-19 mitigation efforts. Under the contract, the company will leverage its Spectra artificial intelligence and machine learning platform for near-real-time examination of the evolving pandemic. Spectra will use advanced image exploitation techniques to automatically study anomalies and monitor social distancing application. This will provide crucial information to decision-makers to ensure the protection of deployed USAF personnel around the globe.
Just – Evotec Biologics has been contracted by the US Department of Defense (DOD) to produce monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) to treat and/or prevent Covid-19. The $18.2m contract will see the company leverage its experience in process development and clinical manufacturing to rapidly deliver two monoclonal antibodies directed against SARS-CoV-2 antigens. This effort is being executed by the DOD’s Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND).
