BAE Systems is set to recruit a large number of IT graduates for its cyber security division.
Of the 293 graduates for 2015, the third consecutive year the programme has been running, approximately 98 will join BAE Systems’ Applied Intelligence business unit, headquartered in Guildford, Surrey, with additional offices in Leeds, London and Gloucester, UK.

Graduates will be paid a basic salary between £25,000 and £32,000

BAE Systems Applied Intelligence Cyber Security managing director Dr Scott McVicar said: "Private and public sector organisations are calling for greater protection from criminal and politically motivated attacks.
"In light of this, we need to recruit [a] growing numbers of bright, motivated individuals, particularly IT, engineering and physics graduates, that will work with our experienced team to identify vulnerabilities and manage the threat effectively.

Recent figures from the Metropolitan Police revealed that nearly 54,000 cases of cyber fraud are reported in London each year.
Remaining recruits will be placed at the company’s other business, with 53 graduates taking roles at its military aircraft business at Warton and Samlesbury in Lancashire. An additional two are required for the Yeovil site and one graduate will work at Christchurch, Dorset.
A further 42 and 22 graduates respectively will work at maritime naval ships and services businesses in Glasgow, Scotland, and Portsmouth, Hampshire, with an additional nine required for offices in New Malden and Frimley, Cowes, Isle of Wight, Filton, Cirencester.
BAE’s Cumbria-based submarines and electronic systems business in Kent are recruiting 26 and 11 graduates, respectively, with a further 11 required for design offices in Surrey and Dorset.
Approximately 11 recruits will work at BAE’s head offices at various locations across the UK, while two graduates will head to its weapons business in Cumbria and three will join BAE’s Shropshire-based combat vehicles business.
Finally, two graduates will join the munitions division in Glascoed, Wales.
