American Systems has secured part of the $6bn enhanced solutions for the information technology enterprise (E-Site) contract from the US Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).
Under the indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, the company will provide information technology services to support global partner agencies, including the DIA, the Combatant Commands (CCMDs), and military services.

The DIA is a combat support agency that provides military intelligence to warfighters and defence policymakers, as well as force planners for military planning, operations, and weapon systems acquisition.
American Systems president and CEO Peter Smith said: "This is an important contract vehicle for American Systems, and we look forward to supporting DIA with our proven approach to providing enterprise-focused IT services in support of their national priority programmes.
Along with American Systems, the US DIA awarded the E-Site contract to 24 other companies, including CACI International, Sotera and Pragmatics .
The E-Site contract follows the Solutions for Information Technology Enterprise (SITE) contract, which was awarded in 2010 and expired in May 2015.
