Oshkosh Defense Joint Programs vice-president and general manager Dave Diersen said: “The JLTV programme is providing our soldiers and marines with the world’s most capable light tactical vehicle.

The vehicle's off-road speed is expected to be 70% faster than the Oshkosh M-ATV.

Powered by a 6.6l turbo diesel engine, the vehicle can be transported by aircraft, such as C130, CH-53 and CH-47.

The Oshkosh JLTV is equipped with the EOS R-400S-MK2 remote weapons system and the Orbital ATK M230 LF 30mm gun.

Delivery of the vehicles and kits under the latest order will begin later this year.
