The British Army has launched the second phase of its online initiative – Start Thinking Soldier – that allows users to test and develop skills used by soldiers from within an online environment.

The initiative is accompanied by a television advertising campaign and aims to educate the public about careers in the army.

The second online initiative, mission 2, focuses on testing decision making and leadership skills when participants are put in high-pressure situations.

The mission features transitions between film and interactive content within a realistic 3D environment.

Participants are then debriefed about their strengths and weaknesses during the course of the mission.

Each television commercial corresponds with one of the simulated environments that can be played out online.
